CHALLENGE

Push the boundaries of what Virtual Travel could accomplish with two travel industry firsts:
The first in-room VR service for any hotel
The first branded travel content platform

SOLUTION

While the well-received Teleporter transported a person’s five senses to a new location, we went a step further with VR Postcards: giving people their own personal tour guides and building emotional connections to places they’d never been.

We enlisted Samsung’s help and partnered with the Academy-Award-winning team at Framestore to bring this experience to Marriott hotel guests around the world.

RESULT

Rather than shoehorn traditional filmmaking techniques into this new medium, we focused on new techniques, native to VR: crafting experiences that draw the viewer in, giving them a deep sense of “presence,” and building emotional connections with real people.
